The Shibumi Leather Card Holder. A collaboration between Ngee Ann Polytechnic, School of Design and Environment, and Semicolon Works was exhibited at Orchard Library and the Ngee Ann Student Service Centre.

Inspired by the concept of simplicity and unobtrusiveness, the Shibumi Leather Card Holder combines elements of a pull-tab wallet and a lotus petal. It offers a unique and innovative way for users to access their cards by pulling a horizontal tab, a feature not commonly found in other card holders.

During this leather project, I gained valuable experience in the ideation, design, and experimentation processes involved in working with leather to create the final product. My first venture into leather crafting, I learned techniques such as stitching, reinforcing specific areas for durability, and overcame the challenges of measuring and folding the leather to achieve the desired form.
